Rental policy
Rental Terms & Conditions
These terms explain the general conditions that apply to vehicle reservations and rentals. The specific vehicle, dates, price, deposit, coverage and any special conditions shown in the reservation confirmation or signed rental agreement form part of the agreement.
1. Driver eligibility and documents
At pickup, every authorized driver must present a valid driving licence accepted in the Dominican Republic, a passport or government-issued photo ID, and the payment method or deposit required in the confirmation. An international driving permit may be requested when the licence is not written in the Latin alphabet or when required by applicable law. The minimum age, licence tenure and any young-driver charge are those disclosed before confirmation or in the rental agreement.
2. Reservation and vehicle availability
A reservation request is subject to vehicle availability and verification of the information provided. A model displayed online may represent a vehicle category; when the exact vehicle cannot be delivered, the company may offer a comparable or higher category without reducing the contracted benefits. No substitution will be made without informing the customer.
3. Rates, taxes, deposit and payment
The confirmed rate is based on the pickup and return dates, locations, rental duration, selected coverage and extras. Taxes, deposits, one-way charges and other applicable items must be itemized in the quote, confirmation or contract. The customer must review the total before choosing a payment method. A reservation is only considered confirmed when the system shows its confirmed status or the company issues written confirmation.
4. Cancellation, changes and no-show
Cancellation and change conditions are those displayed in the quote or confirmation. A rate difference may apply when dates, vehicle category, locations or extras change. Failure to appear within the agreed pickup window without contacting the company may be treated as a no-show and the vehicle may be released. Any applicable fee must follow the accepted reservation conditions and local law.
5. Pickup, inspection and return
The customer and company should record the vehicle condition, fuel level, mileage and accessories at delivery and return. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed place, date and time, with the agreed fuel level and in reasonably clean condition. Extensions require prior approval and are subject to availability and an updated rate.
6. Authorized use
Only drivers listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle. The vehicle may not be used for illegal activity, racing, towing without authorization, off-road driving when not permitted, transporting hazardous goods, driving under the influence, subletting, or leaving the authorized territory without written permission. Traffic, parking, toll and impound charges attributable to the rental period remain the customer’s responsibility.
7. Insurance, protection and exclusions
The included and optional protection products, deductibles, deposits and exclusions are those stated in the reservation and signed agreement. Coverage may be void where permitted by law if the driver violates the agreement, provides false information, drives while impaired, uses an unauthorized driver, or fails to report an incident promptly. Customers should review each protection product before acceptance.
8. Accidents, damage, theft and roadside events
In an accident, theft or damage event, the customer must prioritize safety, contact the appropriate authorities when required, notify the company immediately, avoid admitting liability on behalf of the company, and provide reports, photos and third-party details available. Repairs or towing may not be arranged without authorization except where necessary to protect life or prevent further damage.
9. Personal information
Reservation and identification data are used to manage the rental, payments, customer service, legal obligations, fraud prevention and authorized communications. Access is limited to personnel and providers who need the information for those purposes. Payment credentials must be handled only through approved secure channels.
10. Governing documents and contact
If these general terms conflict with a signed rental agreement or a specific written confirmation, the specific accepted document controls to the extent permitted by law. Questions or special requests should be raised before pickup through the contact methods shown on the website.
